Meet the Team
Anthony Marinucci, CPA
MANAGING PARTNER
Tony joined the firm in 1993, achieved his CPA certification in 1997, and acquired the firm in 2015 from Gino Marinucci, the firm’s founder and Tony’s dad. During his career, Tony has advised hundreds of individual and small business clients. Tony’s passion for the business was bred from his love of hard work and admiration for entrepreneurs and the “American Dream”. Starting small, he operated a paper route from age 7 to 17 while adding a summer lawn business in high school. From there he spent 6 years in retail and grocery while attending university at night.
More recently, he spent seven years as a part-owner in a 6,000 square foot restaurant and spent several years working in the franchise development industry. Bringing this unique perspective to work every day, Tony enjoys sharing his advice with clients who are navigating the daily challenges of running a business. Tony is skilled in individual tax planning and preparation, small business taxation, business start-ups, small business accounting and technology solutions.
When not working, he enjoys stock market investing, playing basketball, dining out, and spending time with his wife and three children.

Rocco Tundo, CPA
PARTNER
Rocco Tundo is a Certified Public Accountant at Marinucci & Associates. He joined the company in the summer of 2003 as an intern and then became a full-time employee in January of 2007 after graduating from the George Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy. He started studying for the CPA exam in August of 2010 and received his license in July of 2011.
Rocco is well versed in individual and business taxation as well as retirement planning, investments and small business consulting. He is also a certified Advanced Online QuickBooks ProAdvisor and has helped various businesses implement new bookkeeping systems as well as clean up systems already in place.
Rocco enjoys playing soccer, listening to music, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Michael Mahjoub
SENIOR ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Michael began working for the firm in February 2020. Born and raised in Bethesda, Michael earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at UMBC. Over the last 6 years, he has changed his focus into the accounting industry. Michael has a demonstrated history of working in the finance and tech industry. He is skilled in accounts payable and receivable, financial statements, and financial software.
In his free time, Michael loves playing and watching all sports. He loves to travel and has a goal to travel to a new place every year.

Mary Sloan
STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Mary joined the firm in December 1977 providing bookkeeping support and was assistant to the founder, Gino Marinucci.
She currently processes and provides support to the firm’s CPAs in filing corporate and individual tax returns. Her duties include: complete payroll processing, payroll reporting to government entities, registering new businesses with federal and state entities, filing annual state franchise forms and federal and state licenses, and provides bookkeeping support to financial statement preparation.
In her spare time, Mary enjoys time with her husband, children and being a grandmother. She enjoys playing senior softball in recreational leagues and has competed in the States/National Senior Olympics softball competition and is also an avid duckpin bowler.
Stephanie Foster
OFFICE COORDINATOR
Stephanie joined the firm in late July 2018. She started as the receptionist and administrative assistant and worked with our clients and guests, ensuring everyone felt welcome from the moment they stepped foot into the office. Stephanie now manages client communications, the firm’s client portal, and processes. Whenever a client needs help with accessing something in the portal, she’s the go-to person! She also maintains the company’s website.
Stephanie is a former photographer and former collegiate swimmer. She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, working out, traveling around the world, reading, and listening to all different genres of music (her favorite at the moment is EDM).

Ana Cabrera
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Ana began working for the firm in August 2020. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a Masters Degree in Accountancy in May 2021. She is currently in the process of studying for her CPA exams.
In her free time, Ana enjoys watching soccer, traveling to new destinations, and spending time with her husband and two sons.

Andrew Lopez
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Andrew began working for the firm in August 2020. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from University of Maryland in May 2021. Andrew is studying to earn his CPA license.
When he’s not working, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, and hiking. He loves to watch sports — especially European soccer, football, basketball, and MMA.

Jason Mayorga

Jason began working for the firm in December 2022. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of D.C. in 2020. He is currently working towards Enrolled Agent and CPA certifications.
In his spare time, Jason coaches for a local youth soccer academy, watches soccer as much as possible, and travels to complete his bucket list.

Love Apostol
RECEPTIONIST & ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Love joined the firm in 2023. Hailing from California, she is a dedicated mother of three (not just a regular mom, a cool mom) and a Rockville local. With over 20 years of customer service and administrative experience, she has a passion for helping others succeed. Love is kind and funny — she’s the first person you’ll meet or speak to when visiting or calling our office and you will find yourself laughing and feeling comfortable almost instantly.
Outside of the office, Love is a makeup artist and permanent makeup tattoo artist. Beyond her artistic pursuits, she loves exploring and cooking culturally diverse recipes, adding a fusion of flavors to her daily life.
