IMPORTANT UPDATE ON OUR SERVICES

On March 20th, the IRS officially moved the deadline for federal tax returns and related payments from April 15, 2020 to July 15, 2020.  To help keep you informed, we have created a Resource Center for both our individual and business clients. We will include advice, links to helpful resources, relevant information and new developments.

To streamline communications, please visit this page to ensure if we have addressed your issue or question. There are many questions and lots of conflicting information about the new laws that have recently passed and those still forthcoming.  As recently as this morning, we have been attending professional education courses to learn as much as we can about the latest changes.

We are committed to working around the clock to address your needs.  We will adjust our office hours and phone availability as necessary to maintain productivity. We highly appreciate your patience as we navigate through this unprecedented demand for our services. Recently, we have had to divert resources to support our small business clients who need immediate assistance to apply for the grants and loans recently enacted. This has slowed our normal turnaround times for individual returns, but we will diligently work through the backlog and get back on schedule in the coming weeks.

In response to the COVID-19 crisis and guidance, we strongly recommend using our free electronic options for submitting your documents. If you are not already using TaxCaddy please request an invite today. TaxCaddy also provides for the digital signature of your returns so you can receive, review and sign your returns from the comfort of your home. You may also continue mailing documents to us or hand-delivering them through our office mail slot.

We continue to monitor this evolving situation daily and will adapt our protocols as necessary and update you via our website. We’ll review guidance from the Internal Revenue Service, State Revenue officials, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), local public health agencies and state government officials. Again, we are focused on providing the best possible service to you. We appreciate your flexibility and support during this time, and our thoughts remain with everyone affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
